Creating your first resume

This guide walks you through creating and filling in your first resume from scratch.

1. Sign in

Visit krafter.app and click Get started. Sign up with your email or a social provider — it only takes a few seconds.

2. Create a resume

From the home dashboard, click New resume. Give it a name (e.g. "Software Engineer — Google") so you can find it later.

3. Fill in your details

The editor opens in a split-screen view. The left panel has collapsible sections:

  • Personal Info — name, job title, contact details, and social links
  • Summary — a short professional summary (supports rich text)
  • Work Experience, Education, Skills, and more — add sections using the + Add section button at the bottom of the editor

Each change auto-saves after one second and updates the preview on the right in real time.

4. Choose a template

Click the settings icon in the preview toolbar to open the Render Settings drawer. Under Template, pick from the built-in cards or browse the community gallery.

5. Export

Use the toolbar buttons to download your resume as PDF, HTML, or JSON. See Exporting your resume for details on each format.
